It does the rest for you. When your head drops an alarm sounds and you are back on track. Works great!! If you feel you have to nod too low before it turns on then rotate the unit around your ear while looking straight ahead until it vibrates then turn it back slightly and you'll have your position that works for you. I love it!!!
